Your privacy is critically important to us at Master Filmmaker. This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from www.masterfilmmaker.com, www.ericdeeran.co, apply.masterfilmmaker.com, and masterfilmmakerreviews.com (together, the “Site”).

1.Scope and Who We Are

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) is issued by Deeran Films LLC d/b/a Master Filmmaker (“Master Filmmaker,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). In addition to the Site, it applies to our other websites (including ericdeeran.co, apply.masterfilmmaker.com, and masterfilmmakerreviews.com), our programs, coaching and strategy calls, community channels, AI-assisted features, and related services (together with the Site, the “Services”), regardless of where you live. By using the Services you acknowledge this Policy and agree to our Terms of Service. Enrolled clients are also bound by our Service Agreement Terms and Conditions.

Enrolled clients. If you enroll in a program, your program agreement and any addenda may contain additional terms about your information, including confidentiality obligations. Those terms supplement, and do not replace, this Policy.

2.Personal Information We Collect

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site.

When you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers, email address, and phone number). We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

Depending on how you interact with us, we may also collect:

  • Contact and business information. Your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, business name, website, and location.
  • Application and qualification details. Information you provide in our application, booking, and lead forms, such as your role, current revenue range, advertising budget, goals, and timing.
  • Account and usage data. Login details, IP address, browser and device information, approximate location, referral data, and analytics about how you use the Services.
  • Payment and transaction data. Payment card and financing details you enter are collected and processed by our third-party payment processors and financing partners (for example, Stripe). We do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
  • Recordings. Audio and video recordings of strategy calls, onboarding sessions, coaching calls, group sessions, webinars, and program events, captured with prior notice for service delivery, replay, training, quality, or compliance purposes.
  • Communications. Emails, text messages, support requests, and messages you send us in community channels such as Slack.
  • Content you submit. Testimonials, reviews, case-study materials, feedback, and any other information you choose to share with us.
  • AI inputs and outputs. Prompts and content you submit to any AI-assisted feature we offer, and the outputs generated in response.
  • Information from third parties. Data from advertising and social platforms (for example, Meta), lead forms, scheduling tools, and referral partners, as permitted by their policies and your settings.

Children. Our Services are not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. See Section 11.

3.How We Use Your Personal Information

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we use this Order Information to:

  • Communicate with you;
  • Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
  • When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We also use personal information to:

  • Deliver, personalize, and support our programs, coaching, and community;
  • Review applications, schedule and conduct calls, and determine whether our Services are a fit;
  • Send marketing calls, text messages, and emails where you have consented, including information about this offer, related products or services, training content, and promotional updates;
  • Record and replay calls and sessions for training, quality, and program delivery, with prior notice;
  • Measure and improve our websites, advertising, and Services through analytics;
  • Protect the security and integrity of our systems, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements; and
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

Lawful bases (EEA, UK, and Switzerland). Where these laws apply, we process personal data on the basis of contractual necessity (to deliver Services you have requested), your consent (for marketing communications, recordings, non-essential cookies, and certain international transfers), our legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services.

4.AI-Assisted Features

Some Services may include AI-assisted features. When you use them, your inputs and the resulting outputs may be processed by us and by third-party AI providers acting on our behalf under contractual confidentiality and data-processing limitations. We do not use your inputs to train any publicly available AI model. We may use de-identified or aggregated information derived from inputs and outputs to monitor and improve the Services.

Automated decision-making. We do not use your personal information to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you without human involvement. Where AI tools support a decision, a Master Filmmaker team member remains responsible for the outcome.

5.Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for site functionality, analytics, marketing, and personalization. These may include strictly necessary cookies (such as login and checkout), analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics), advertising and measurement cookies and pixels (such as the Meta pixel and Hyros), and functional cookies that remember your preferences.

Where legally required, we obtain your consent for non-essential cookies through the cookie banner on our websites, and you can change your preferences there at any time. You can also adjust cookie settings in your browser; disabling certain cookies may affect site functionality. You can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/privacy/. You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

6.Sharing Your Personal Information

We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. For example, we use third-party services to power our online store and to assist us in understanding how our customers use the Site. You can read more about how these services use your Personal Information by visiting their respective privacy policies online. We also use analytics services, such as Google Analytics, to help us understand how our customers use the Site.

The categories of recipients include:

  • Service providers. Vendors that perform services for us, including CRM, email, and SMS platforms (for example, GoHighLevel), payment processors and financing partners (for example, Stripe), scheduling and video-conferencing tools (for example, iClosed and Zoom), community platforms (for example, Slack), advertising and analytics providers (for example, Meta, Google, and Hyros), hosting and IT providers, and AI service providers. These vendors are bound by contractual confidentiality and data-processing limitations.
  • Legal and safety. Government agencies, regulators, courts, or other parties when required by law, in response to valid legal process, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal rights.
  • Corporate transactions. Counterparties in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business or assets, subject to this Policy.
  • At your direction. Other parties when you ask us to share information or make it public, such as a testimonial or case study you approve.

Sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. Our use of advertising cookies and pixels may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; you can opt out through the cookie banner on our websites or by emailing support@masterfilmmaker.com.

Mobile information. Mobile phone numbers and text-message opt-in consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.

International transfers. We are based in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your personal information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions that may have different data-protection standards. Where required, transfers from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or other appropriate safeguards.

7.Your Rights

If you are a resident of certain jurisdictions, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a resident of certain jurisdictions we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example, if you make an order through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above.

EEA, UK, and Swiss residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; to restrict or object to certain processing; to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (without affecting prior processing); to receive your data in a portable format; not to be subject to solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects; and to lodge a complaint with your data protection supervisory authority.

California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

Subject to applicable law, California residents have the right to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect, the sources, purposes, and categories of recipients; to request correction of inaccurate information; to request deletion, subject to exceptions; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, in which case we may require proof of authorization and verification of your identity.

Canadian residents (PIPEDA and provincial laws)

Canadian residents have the right to access and request correction of their personal information, subject to applicable exceptions. Residents of Quebec have additional rights under Law 25, including rights of access, correction, portability where technically feasible, de-indexing, and information about automated decision-making.

Other jurisdictions

Residents of other jurisdictions may have similar rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, and complaint under local law.

How to exercise your rights. Email support@masterfilmmaker.com. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

8.Your Choices

  • Marketing emails. Unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link in any marketing email or by contacting support@masterfilmmaker.com. Transactional and service-related messages will continue.
  • Text messages and calls. Reply STOP to any text message to opt out. Consent to marketing calls and texts is not a condition of purchase, and message and data rates may apply.
  • Cookies. Manage non-essential cookies through the cookie banner on our websites or your browser settings.
  • Recordings. You may decline or withdraw consent to a recording by telling us before or at the start of a session. Where recording is reasonably required for service delivery, declining may limit the Services available to you.

9.Data Retention

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

More generally, we retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to satisfy legal, accounting, tax, and reporting requirements, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. In setting retention periods we consider the duration of our relationship with you, any legal or contractual obligation to retain the information, our legal position (for example, open limitation periods or pending claims), and the sensitivity of the information. Recordings are kept for as long as needed for program delivery, quality, training, compliance, or legal record-keeping, and are then deleted or anonymized.

10.Data Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, secure hosting, and vendor due diligence, to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11.Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will promptly delete it and close any associated account.

12.Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated Policy on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date, and if the changes materially affect your rights we will provide notice by email or on our websites. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
